Trinity Hospital Twin City's accredited laboratory provides in-house services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outpatient services are available starting at 6:30 A.M., 7 days a week. We employ licensed phlebotomists who are experienced in obtaining blood or body fluid specimens. Licensed laboratory technicians will then perform the diagnostic testing that has been ordered by your physician.
Our laboratory has sophisticated equipment that can provide accurate and rapid test results in order to aid your physician in assessing your health. The laboratory also has an adequate blood supply in its blood bank of those blood types that might be needed for transfusion therapy.
The Trinity Hospital Twin City laboratory participates in routine proficiency checks whereby competency and accuracy are measured. We receive "unknown" samples for testing, then the results are submitted for scoring and evaluation. Our performance on all of these testing episodes is forwarded to and monitored by our state's regulatory agency for laboratories.
