Food & Nutritional Services
The Trinity Hospital Twin City Food & Nutritional Services Department assists with the nutritional needs of all hospital inpatients. The Department aims to serve appealing meals regardless of a patient's diet restrictions. Directed by a Dietary Manager who is certified by the Dietary Manager's Association, the department seeks to provide the best quality food combined with exemplary service.
Food & Nutritional Services include the following:
- Patient Diet Counseling: Our Registered Dietitian provides personalized instructions for inpatients and outpatients regarding modified diets (upon physician's referral).
- Monitoring Modified Diets: Department staff members and the Registered Dietitian monitor patients' menu selections to provide food preferences within dietary restrictions.
- Planning & Evaluation of Hospital Menus: The Food and Nutritional Services Director and Dietitian plan hospital menus according to the recommended daily allowances to include foods that are nutritious and appetizing.
