“Trinity Hospital Twin City President Announces Resignation”

DENNISON—Effective June 16, 2017, Trinity Hospital Twin City (THTC) President, Joe Mitchell, RN, FACHE, will resign his position to accept the job of Chief Executive Officer at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, Louisiana. Teresa Gagliardi, THTC Chief Nursing Officer, will become the hospital’s interim leader and will work directly with the Trinity Health System (THS of Steubenville) leadership to ensure a smooth transition and continued excellent patient care.

“This new position provides an exciting opportunity for me and my family to move closer to our extended family,” shared Mitchell. “While this move is bittersweet, I am proud of the work that has been accomplished here over the last five years when THTC went from a struggling operation to one that is excelling in growth, quality, and service, while continuing to care for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.”

“Over the last several years, I, as well as other members of the THTC senior leadership team, have worked to establish strong operational relationships with Trinity Health System,” explained Mitchell. “This work has strengthened both THTC and THS. Although I will miss all of the folks here at THTC, I believe I am leaving this organization in a position of strength as a part of THS, capable of navigating changes as they arise.”

“We are grateful to Joe for his dedicated service to our hospital and community, and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” stated Joe Tasse, Interim CEO, Trinity Health System. “The commitment to serve the local community is strong, and the physicians and staff will continue to work every day to serve the patients and families that have grown to appreciate the quality care they receive from Trinity Hospital Twin City.”
