Trinity Hospital Twin City’s United Volunteer Auxiliary Gives Back to the Community

GNADENHUTTEN – Trinity Hospital Twin City’s United Volunteer Auxiliary, with the help of hospital employee volunteers, is providing free blood pressure screenings at the Gnadenhutten farmer’s market held at the downtown square every Saturday from 8 AM to noon through September 28, 2013.  During the past few weeks, the volunteers have provided more than 100 free blood pressure screenings, and they hope to provide a total of at least 500 screenings by the time the market closes for the season.

“We feel it is important to provide services to the community to show our appreciation for all the support area residents have provided to us by making purchases at our fundraisers and participating in our events,” shared Emillie Blackwood, President of the Trinity Hospital Twin City United Volunteer Auxiliary. “We also want to use this opportunity as a chance to help the community get to know our organization better and consider joining us in our efforts to support the hospital.”

No appointment is necessary for the free blood pressure screenings, and a  health information and record card is being given to all who receive a screening. For more information about Trinity Hospital Twin City’s United Volunteer Auxiliary, call 740-922-7450, ext. 2202.
