The Trinity Health System Twin City Medical Center Food & Nutritional Services Department assists with the nutritional needs of all hospital inpatients. The Department aims to serve appealing meals regardless of a patient's diet restrictions. Directed by a Dietary Manager who is certified by the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals, the department seeks to provide the best quality food combined with exemplary service.

Food & Nutritional Services include the following:

  • Patient Diet Counseling: Our Registered Dietitian is a certified diabetes educator who provides personalized instructions for inpatients and outpatients regarding modified diets (upon physician's referral).
  • Monitoring Modified Diets: Department staff members and the Registered Dietitian monitor patients' menu selections to provide food preferences within dietary restrictions.
  • Planning & Evaluation of Hospital Menus: The Food and Nutritional Services Director and Dietitian plan hospital menus according to the recommended daily allowances to include foods that are nutritious and appetizing.

The cafeteria is open to the public from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm daily.
