Join Us to Help Easter Seals

DENNISON--Easter Seals Northern Ohio is partnering with Trinity Hospital Twin City to give back to the community while helping children and adults with disabilities. The Trinity Hospital Twin City Employee Auxiliary is hosting a “Fill the Truck” donation drive on Saturday, August 13^th, from 9 am to 4 pm at the hospital’s Rehab Center parking lot, located one block from the hospital at 6408 McKee Road. The group will be collecting any and all cloth items as well as small kids’ toys/games, CDs/DVDs/VHS tapes, kitchen wares (pots/pans, silverware, dishes, etc.), small picture frames/wall hangings, knickknacks, and jewelry. Easter Seals will provide the truck to pick up all donations.

The hospital will not be accepting donations prior to August 13^th. Please bring all donations to the truck on August 13^th. Acceptable items include (but are not limited to): clothing, comforters, blankets, towels, sheets, shoes, accessories, and purses. Donations that are clean and in good condition are resold at Easter Seals Thrift shops. Stained or torn items will be recycled. Please place items in a tied/closed bag or in a box. The group cannot accept electronics, pillows, mattresses, furniture, or TV’s.

“We challenge every community member to donate at least one bag of cloth,” shared Teresa Phillips, Trinity Hospital Twin City Employee Auxiliary member. “Tell your friends and neighbors. You do not need to be a hospital employee to donate items, and all donors will receive a tax deductible receipt.”

All donated items will be reused, resold, or recycled. Easter Seals’ Community Action Program supports vital services for children and adults with disabilities in Northern Ohio. The proceeds from the bulk sale of the contributions support programs such as speech therapy, home care, medical equipment loans, and summer camp opportunities.
